Vol 19 No 1 (2024): Buletin Sumber Daya Geologi

We extend our gratitude to Allah SWT for the successful publication of the Geological Resources Bulletin in 2024, which in this edition features five scientific papers on mineral resources, consisting of four articles on metallic minerals and one on non-metallic minerals and rocks. Contributors come from various institutions, including the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, BRIN, the Bandung Polytechnic of Energy and Mining, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Diponegoro, and PT. Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ore. The first article discusses the characteristics of alteration and mineralization of gold and base metals to determine deposit type models, while the second article explores the genesis and occurrence of iron ore deposits, including primary and lateritic iron, linked to magmatism and hydrothermal processes. The third article examines the alteration characteristics, mineralization, and deposit type models of gold and base metals using various geological analysis methods. The fourth article processes geochemical data of iron elements, revealing a strong correlation between Co, Cr, and Mn with Fe. The final article evaluates the quality of limestone as a raw material for cement based on geological and lithofacies studies, identifying high-quality lithofacies (wackestone, packstone, grainstone) and low-quality lithofacies (mudstone). We express our gratitude to the Head of the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, the editorial team, editors, peer reviewers, and all contributors who have supported the publication of this bulletin, ensuring it continues to present high-quality scientific papers to readers. Stay healthy and motivated, Editorial Board.
